1. What was the problem you were having before you discovered the Tortoise products and services?

Even though there are so many systems and resources available, I couldn’t find one I could truly believe in—one that would support my learning and asset management journey in a consistent, reliable way.

2. What did the frustration feel like as you tried to solve that problem?

I was deeply frustrated with the performance of my investments and retirement accounts. I kept thinking, “There must be a better way.” After extensive searching, I joined the Online Trading Academy and took nearly every course they offered. While I learned more about asset classes and technical analysis, my core problem remained unsolved. That changed when I discovered Dr. Ken Long and the Tortoise materials through the SuperTrader program at VTI.

3. What was different about our products and services?

Tortoise products blend the Market, System, and Self—helping each trader find their own sweet spot. The resources are abundant: daily and weekend reports, chatrooms, case studies, bootcamps. What I value most are the RLCO and MACD Season tools, which allow me to clearly evaluate whether a trade is working in my favor and focus on exit strategy.

4. Take us to the moment when you realized our product was actually working to solve your problem.

During the market downturn in December 2018, the Tortoise tools—especially the daily reports, multi-timeframe analysis, and MACD Season—helped me protect my assets. Then in January 2019, I was able to profit from the rebound. That experience was a turning point. As a slow learner, it took me time to understand the patterns, but that experience validated my belief in the system.

5. Tell us what life looks like now that your problem is solved or is being solved.

It feels amazing to go with the market’s flow rather than fight it. I’m genuinely grateful for discovering the Tortoise methods. They’ve given me confidence and a desire to keep learning. That’s why I subscribed to the Tortoise products and enrolled in the Swing Bootcamp in May and the Live Bootcamp in July.

6. What does the way ahead look like for you?

I believe trading is like any business: a blend of knowledge, experience, and adaptability. Just like you can’t go to the gym for a month and expect lifetime fitness, you can’t stop evolving as a trader. It’s a lifelong journey, and I’m fully committed to it. I continue my work in the SuperTrader 2 program and challenge myself every day.
