1. What was the problem you were having before you discovered the Tortoise products and services?

I was exploring different paths to build a meaningful asset base for early retirement. After trying real estate, internet marketing, and business, I focused on stocks. I was taken in by some trading courses and chatrooms, then pivoted to long-term investing. But I needed a way to accelerate my asset growth more reliably.

2. What did the frustration feel like as you tried to solve that problem?

I was frustrated with the time and energy I’d put into learning trading systems—only to find out many were built on empty promises. This made me question whether day trading was even viable. Eventually, I defaulted to passive investing, but I wasn’t satisfied with the slow pace.

I’d followed Tortoise Capital since its mutual fund days and watched the approach evolve. What earned my trust: transparent methods (e.g., YouTube channel), no hype, no overpromising, real-time trade days, and an authentic effort to build a supportive community.

5. Tell us what life looks like now that your problem is solved or is being solved.

I’m far more relaxed. I’m confident in the process. If I give this my all and it doesn’t work, I’ll know I gave a solid, ethical system a fair chance. That brings me peace of mind.

6. What does the way ahead look like for you?

It looks like a long road of hard work, learning, and late nights—but I’m okay with that. If trading works, great. If it doesn’t, I’ll have no regrets.
